What We Believe

Statement of Faith

The historic Christian convictions we confess together as a fellowship — anchored in Scripture, shaped by the creeds, and lived out in service.

Credo · We Believe

I

The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Bible is the inspired and only infallible, authoritative written Word of God.

II

The Triune God

We believe in the eternal triune God.

III

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.

IV

Salvation

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful humanity, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

V

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life, and that the empowering of the Holy Spirit is a separate and distinct experience subsequent to salvation, providing for life and service.

VI

The Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: those who are saved to the resurrection of life, and those who are lost to the resurrection of damnation.

VII

Unity of Believers

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

VIII

Humanity and the Fall

We believe in the creation, test, and fall of humanity as recorded in Genesis; humanity's total spiritual depravity; and inability to attain divine righteousness apart from God.

IX

The Incarnation

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of humanity, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully man.

X

The Atonement

We believe that Christ died for our sins, was buried, rose again the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples.

XI

Water Baptism

We believe in the necessity of water baptism.

XII

The Lord's Supper

We believe in the table of the Lord, commonly called Communion or the Lord's Supper, for believers.

"Contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints."
